Web Development is Now Truly Global
Design Matters! Design matters - that is the basic premise that KolWeb believes in 100%. Your website is the gateway for the world to see what you stand for, what you represent, what are your products and services, and most likely the very first impression for your customers. So when you are having your web site designed you have to make sure that the design not only meets your internal requirements, but more importantly meets YOUR customer’s requirements. KolWeb designs your web site based on YOUR customer! KolWeb conducts a thorough Customer Analysis, and develops a Customer Profile – which is a complete understanding of your customer. The website design then fully accounts for the customer profile. Now several factors play in creating the optimal web site design. The web site can be looked at in several ways - the design, functionality and technology. When designing the website the proper blend of technology and creativity has to occur - we always come back to the same questions for every design element - Does this meet your customers requirements? Will this obtain new business? Will this help you define your brand? Asking these questions will further refine the site to suit your customer . Now on the functionality aspect we have to look at the customer profile in order to ensure that the website is working in the way the customer needs it to work . For Heart-Scan, a premier cardiac center in London, England, required a redesigned web site. Our very first step was to conduct an in-depth customer profile. By doing so several implications arose. For example, the average age of the web user was in the 45 to 65 range, this meant that the font size, the screen colors, the layout, all had to be adjusted to the web user’s profile. This is a very simple, straightforward example, but a powerful example to show how the design of the web site impacts your customer. Functionality - again using the Heart-Scan web site as an example of functionality. Given the profile of the web user this led to a simple and powerful and effective menu design. The menu designed for the web site was standard on every single page of the web site and did not require extensive clicking to get to that sub folders. This made it easier for the web user to get the exact information that they need without having to go to different pages to find that information, and not having to go back and forth with the browser. Finally technology can be good and it can be bad but it all depends on how you use it for your designs. A simple example would be a flash web site design. On one hand flash designs are attractive, interactive and visually appealing. A drawback though is that often because the size of the file the web pages can take time to load. If loading time is a factor KolWeb provides the solution of: an optimal compromise which is creating a regular HTML site but putting objects in the site such that a high tech appearance is created.
This is only part one in discussing with
designing to get an optimal web site design part two will look further into web
designs and how the technology is changing the web designing landscape. |

Website Designing from India – what are you waiting for?
Not sure if you want to outsource your web development work halfway across the world to India? Have no fear with KolWeb. As many of you have heard horror stories of outsourcing projects gone wrong that necessarily does not have to be the case. With KolWeb you can alleviate all your worries of outsourced development projects. KolWeb was founded on the premise of 100% customer satisfaction. All this was done such that any customer can expect the high international standards that they deserve. Web Development NOTJust for Websites anymore! With the advent of .Net programming and other associated languages Web development is now affordable and just makes sense for Consumer Management, Front office processing, Back office support, Production and Grow operations, and finally Logistics. We have evolved Web development now through .Net to enable us to provide our clients full value chain management.
Web Shopping The trend is towards "Web Shopping" before buying a product in the real- world! If you don’t have a well articulated Brand image, a well defined product and service offering, and a clear ongoing SEO (search engine optimization) plan in place - you are probably missing out on a lot of sales opportunities in your own backyard! Web development, Web SEO, Web Graphics, Web Animation are so affordable today, can you really afford not to be out there! The following are the main Web Development programming languages: JScript :-
JScript is a computer programming language created
by Microsoft and is a superset of the ECMAScript programming language, which is
known most commonly as "JavaScript." Asp :-
Active Server Pages (ASP) is Microsoft's
server-side script engine for dynamically-generated web pages. It is marketed as
an add-on to Internet Information Services (IIS). Programming ASP websites is
made easier by various built-in objects. Each object corresponds to a group of
frequently-used functionality useful for creating dynamic web pages. In ASP 2.0
there are six such built-in objects: Application, ASPError, Request, Response,
Server, and Session. Session, for example, is a cookie-based session object that
maintains variables from page to page. Php :-
PHP is a reflective programming language
originally designed for producing dynamic web pages.[1] PHP is used mainly in
server-side scripting, but can be used from a command line interface or in
standalone graphical applications. Textual User Interfaces can also be created
using ncurses. XML :-
The Extensible Markup Language (XML) is a
general-purpose markup language.[1] It is classified as an extensible language
because it allows its users to define their own tags. Its primary purpose is to
facilitate the sharing of data across different information systems,
particularly via the Internet.[2] JSP :-
JavaServer Pages (JSP) is a Java technology that
allows software developers to dynamically generate HTML, XML or other types of
documents in response to a Web client request. The technology allows Java code
and certain pre-defined actions to be embedded into static content. Servlet :-
The Java Servlet API allows a software developer
to add dynamic content to a Web server using the Java platform. The generated
content is commonly HTML, but may be other data such as XML. Servlets are the
Java counterpart to non-Java dynamic Web content technologies such as PHP, CGI
and ASP.NET. Servlets can maintain state across many server transactions by
using HTTP cookies, session variables or URL rewriting. |

Search Engine Optimization Strategies There are several ways to implement SEO for a particular client. A critical step is to find the most appropriate keyword phrases for the client. A keyword search yielding too many results will only force the web user to further refine their terms to obtain a more meaningful result. That is why a few key questions should be asked before finalizing your ‘key search terms’. Is geographical location important in the search, if so, the geographic location should be included in the optimization, but in some cases it is a moot point. For LLSAPrep.com, an online Emergence Medicine course, the only relevant target audience is the Emergency Medicine Community in the United States. So whether the United States was included in the search or not – there would be no material difference. Anjan Gupta Architects, a premier architectural firm, based in Kolkata, India, required SEO optimization both by geography and by services such that the main services were highlighted: Architecture and Interior Design (including commercial, corporate, auditorium, healthcare, R&D). Geographically, Kolkata (Calcutta), India, was the main focus thereby the terms ‘Calcutta Architects’, ‘Kolkata Architects’, ‘Kolkata Interior Design’ are relevant. Other relevant questions may include – What are the total search results for the keyword selection? Are these the terms the majority of customers will be searching with? etc. Search Engine Optimization – The KolWeb Way Before discussing search engine optimization (SEO), we need to clearly state that search engine optimization is a subset of Internet Marketing . When people refer to search engine optimization they are referring to enabling the website such that search engines such as Google, Yahoo etc. can find the web site for the ‘key word phrases’ that the web user types. Customers engaging in marketing on the internet from several different angles, some customers want a full blown Internet marketing programs which will make sure their Internet footprint is widespread, and ubiquitous on the net, while other customers are very focused and require that search engines will pick up certain keywords that will put their web site in the top 10 search engine rankings. Search engine optimization can range from a ‘critical’ application to a part of a larger internet marketing programme. An example of a critical application, is 44com (www.44com.com), a furnished apartment provider in Toronto, Canada. The SEO of their keywords make up 100% of their marketing program, thus staying in the top 10 rankings for search terms is mission critical. KolWeb ensures that 44com’s ranking stay in the top 10 by deploying several SEO techniques to maintain or improve 44com’s rankings. An example of a non-mission critical SEO, would be Heart-Scan, in London, England .SEO is but a part of their marketing program, albeit an increasingly more important part ever since they have embarked on SEO. In this scope, KolWeb was given full control of the website to implement SEO. Heart Scanning along with Lung Scanning and Colon Scanning are in a very competitive internet space for search terms such as Heart Scans, Lung Scans, EBA Scanning, CT Scans, and Colon Scans. KolWeb focused on the critical keyword phrases, and by doing so not only gave top 10 ranking in Google and Yahoo, but also gained top rankings for related phrases such as Heart Scan London, Lung Scans, EBA Scanning, and Colon Scans London. Therefore the goal is that when targeting a ‘selected’ group of keywords you’ll naturally get the related key word phrases which will expand your overall footprint on the net. With KolWeb flexibility has always been the key for designing the SEO Programme to suit your requirements.
One Man Show and SEO Major Sudip Bose, MD, shows the potential of how a single man’s experiences can be broadcasted throughout the internet and change the lives of many. A motivational speaker would be only one of the many terms to describe Dr. Sudip Bose – Iraqi Army Doctor, Veteran Speaker, Saddam Hussein Doctor would be just as appropriate. After coming back from Operation Iraqi Freedom and having served one of the longest tours by a physician since World War II, Dr. Bose did not sit still – or more appropriately could not sit still. The experiences he had were once in a lifetime, and not sharing them would be a disservice to the men and women in uniform throughout the world. The experiences could be applied to life, business and relationships. But how could a doctor working in the Emergency Medicine rooms of Chicago get his word out. That’s when contacting KolWeb made the difference. KolWeb designed an honest, straightforward website that reflected Dr. Bose’s values and experience. After the website was designed KolWeb embarked upon an SEO (Search Engine Optimization) campaign to ensure that the website would reach his target audiences of educational institutions, non-profits, hospitals, places of worship and any other curious audience. KolWeb’s SEO programme delivered the Google and Yahoo rankings Dr. Bose needed, and currently when he is not saving lives in the emergency rooms, he is enlightening lives throughout the States. Several keyword phrases that were used to optimize the website include variations of the same them such as Army Doctor, Iraq Veteran Lecturer, Military Speaker etc.

sold by Autodesk, Inc.. The original concept of AutoCAD in the 1980s was to
promote customization and feature extensibility, and was what made it especially
appealing to customers. Most contemporary CAD products at that time offered
little if any customization capability and most were far more expensive. AutoCAD
is also one of the first CAD programs to run on a Personal Computer, while most
CAD software at the time ran on dedicated workstations or a graphics terminal
connected to a Mainframe computer such as a VAX. Corel :- Corel was founded by Michael Cowpland in 1985, who intended it to be a research laboratory ("Corel" is an abbreviation of "Cowpland Research Laboratory"). The company saw great success early in the high-tech boom of the nineties with the product CorelDraw, and became, for a time, the biggest software company in Canada. Corel made many early investors very wealthy, but its strong growth did not last. It attempted to compete with Microsoft after acquiring the WordPerfect software in 1996, but it failed badly. Corel was forced to lay-off large numbers of employees and Cowpland came under investigation by the Ontario Securities Commission for insider trading. In August 2003, Corel was wholly acquired by Vector Capital, a private equity firm, for a price of $1 a share (slightly more than the cash in the company). The company was voluntarily delisted from the NASDAQ and Toronto stock exchanges. Some U.S. shareholders alleged the management benefited from the buyout personally while the buyout price was too low. A lawsuit was filed in the U.S. to stop the buyout and was unsuccessful. Some believe this contributed to the cold reception in the investment community in the 2006 IPO. Bryce :- Bryce is a 3D modeling, rendering and animation program specializing in fractal landscapes. The name is taken from Bryce Canyon — a rugged region with many of the same landscapes that were first simulated with the software.[1]. Poser :-

Sony Vegas is a non-Linear editing system
produced by Sony Creative Software. Currently,
it runs on Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/2003. Vegas
also runs on Vista but is not yet officially
supported. In April 2007, however, Sony along

Software Development :- The following are the main software programming languages used at KolWeb for software development. Software development is also known as 'Desktop Programming Languages', thereby distinguishing the it from 'Web Development Languages. C :- C is a general-purpose, block structured, procedural, imperative computer programming language developed in 1972 by Dennis Ritchie at the Bell Telephone Laboratories for use with the Unix operating system. It has since spread to many other platforms. Although predominantly used for system software, C is also widely used for applications. C has also greatly influenced many other popular languages, especially C++, which was designed as an enhancement to C. C++ :-
C++ (pronounced "see plus plus") is a
general-purpose programming language with high-level and low-level capabilities.
It is a statically typed, free-form, multi-paradigm, usually compiled language
supporting procedural programming, data abstraction, object-oriented
programming, and generic programming. Since the 1990s, C++ has been one of the
most popular commercial programming languages.[citation needed] Java Swing :-

computer language that can be viewed as an evolution of Microsoft's Visual Basic
(VB) implemented on the Microsoft .NET framework. Its introduction has been
controversial, as significant changes were made that broke backward
compatibility with VB and caused a rift within the developer community. |
